Make Reading Fun! Strategies for Increasing Literacy Engagement in School Age Programs (Self-Pace)
Do you have difficulty engaging youth in literacy? Are you frustrated with the challenges our youth continue to face with meeting grade level reading proficiency? Do you wish there was something you could do? The goal of this learning event is to assist after school providers with creating high quality literacy activities in their school age programs. Participants will be introduced to enriching strategies to increase youth and family engagement in literacy and learn why literacy is important in afterschool and reflect on their current literacy practices.
