Increasing Quality Using the ITERS-R

This training offers information about the assessment process and the Environment Rating Scale as it relates to individuals providing care to infants and toddlers. Information provided is to be used daily to ensure children are receiving a quality care experience.

The overall goal is for quality care to be provided consistently. Quality programs provide care and education by ensuring developmentally appropriate practices are available to children in the areas of physical, social and emotional, cognitive (thinking), and language development. Children’s development is enhanced when they experience these high-quality care and education opportunities. There are three basic needs that programs must provide to meet the quality standards as indicated in ITERS-R:

* Protection of children’s health and safety
* Building positive relationships
* Opportunities for stimulation and learning from experience

Participants will be emailed access information once registration has closed.
