Emergency Preparedness and Response (In-Person at Smart Start of Pender County)

Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR): The Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) in Child Care training provides early educators with information and tools to prepare for many types of emergencies. The EPR in Child Care training addresses NC Child Care Rules on emergency preparedness, current best practice recommendations, and guidance on completing the online EPR Plan. Centers and family child care homes have (1) one year from the date of their initial license to complete the EPR in Child Care Training. When staff trained in EPR leaves employment, the center or family child care home must ensure another staff person completes the required training within four months of the vacancy.
