School Age Child Care Quality Improvement

The school-age project recognizes the need to provide services for school-age caregivers and works to improve the quality of care they provide.

The School-age Specialist can provide:

  • On-site consultation with leadership in school age care, early education, and administration.
  • Professional Development related to school age and early education topics including:
  • Basic School-age Care Training (BSAC)
  • School-age Care Environment Rating Scale (SACERS-U)
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Playground Safety
  • NC Foundations
  • Educational leadership
  • Environment arrangement (indoor/outdoor) and activity plan suggestions
  • Assistance in increasing the quality of your school and early education program
